Your travel notebook

Your ideas, kept with care.

Before you send anything

Your county choices, private notes and form drafts are saved in this browser’s local storage so you can return to them. Other people using the same browser profile may see them. Clear a county draft or contact-form draft in the notebook when you no longer need it.

If the site recognises your signed-in account, you can explicitly save an account copy. Private notes and packing checks are included in that account copy. They are excluded from the enquiry you send to the organiser.

After you send an enquiry, a receipt is saved in this browser when storage is available. It includes your name, email, message, contributor details where supplied, chosen preferences and original guide-cost snapshot. Other people using the same browser profile can read it. In “Your enquiry”, you can download the receipt or choose “Clear this device receipt”. Clearing it removes only that browser copy, not the enquiry held by the organiser. Server withdrawal or expiry does not remove a device receipt or downloaded copy.

When you send an enquiry

Your name, email, message, party size and chosen preferences are stored for review in the organiser desk. Guest enquiries also keep a dated, itemised guide-cost snapshot, including assumptions and items still to confirm. Changes to the live guide do not rewrite what you sent.

The organiser will follow up personally within 3 working days (Monday to Friday). The reply is sent personally, rather than automatically.

Only the organiser can read all enquiries. An account can see its own linked records. No automatic email, booking, payment, marketing list or public guest list is created. Avoid including medical information; you can simply ask to discuss access requirements privately.

Copies, correction and withdrawal

Keep your receipt reference. Account-linked enquiries can be downloaded or withdrawn in “Your enquiry”. For an enquiry sent without an account, or to request a correction or deletion, contact the organiser with its reference. A correction can be recorded separately so the original submission remains understandable.

Withdrawal removes the enquiry and associated organiser notes and audit entries from the live desk. Previously downloaded copies are separate; ask the organiser to remove any copies they hold. Clearing a device draft does not delete an account copy or sent enquiry. You can delete a county’s account copy in the notebook while signed in.

Organiser records

The organiser can add private follow-up notes and status changes. Enquiries are deleted after 12 months without recorded activity. This applies to earlier interest records too. A saved follow-up or deliberate renewal records continuing activity; simply opening an enquiry does not extend its life. Deletion also removes its private notes and audit history.

Deletion runs when the enquiry service is next used or the organiser opens the organiser desk. If the site is idle, records wait for that next check. You can request deletion sooner by contacting the organiser. This enquiry policy does not remove your separate device drafts or account notebook copies; their deletion controls are described above.

There is no advertising or optional analytics integration in this build. Hosting may use essential authentication and operational logs. The public guides and notebook can be viewed without an account; account copies and organiser records have separate access controls.

Travel-price searches

When the price-search service is connected and you choose to search, the selected airports or destination, travel dates, occupancy and currency are sent to SerpApi to look up flight or hotel prices. Your enquiry contact details, message and private notebook notes are not sent with that search. Browsing the guides does not perform a price search.

To limit repeated requests, the price-search service stores a pseudonymous identifier derived from the connection’s IP address and usage records. Our price-search code does not store the raw IP address. These usage records become eligible for deletion after 35 days and are removed on the next applicable request; deletion waits if the service is idle. Hosting may maintain separate operational logs.

If you follow an external search link, the provider receives your chosen search query and ordinary connection information. These searches take place on Google Flights, Google Hotels or Booking.com, outside this website.

Videos from YouTube

The Mayo story shows preview images supplied by YouTube. Choosing “Load video” loads an embedded YouTube player. Those requests share ordinary connection information with the provider; the player does not load until you choose it. You can also follow the link to watch on YouTube.
